PH Consulate General in Sydney Holds Bigkas Serye Project in Celebration of Buwan Ng Wika 2020

SYDNEY 16 September 2020 — In celebration of the Buwan ng Wika 2020, and in support of Sentro Rizal’s promotion of Philippine culture through language, the Philippine Consulate General–Sentro Rizal (SR) Sydney held a “Bigkas Serye” Book Reading Series Project.

Three books/stories, entitled Ayoko Po Sana, Tagu-Taguan and Ang Pambihirang Buhok ni Racquel were featured by the Consulate and posted on its Facebook and Sentro Rizal Pages on 07, 14, 24 August 2020, respectively. 

The project aims to promote Philippine culture through language to the second and third generations of Filipinos in Australia and boost the interest of the young generation to learn the language. It also encourages the Filipino Australians in New South Wales to continue the use of the Filipino language as a medium of communication at home. END
