HONG KONG 16 September 2020 – Philippine Consul General to Hong Kong Raly L. Tejada and Labor Attaché Melchor B. Dizon inaugurated the new Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) office in a short ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony on 10 September 2020.

Consul General Tejada welcomed POLO's transfer to the United Centre as all Philippine government offices in Hong Kong are once again under one roof. This enables the Philippine Consulate General and its attached offices to continue delivering efficient services while providing greater convenience for all Filipinos living and working in the territory.

This represents the Philippine government’s commitment to meet the increasing demand and expectations of the Filipino community which is now the largest ethnic minority in Hong Kong.

Up until 2014, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Hong Kong was jointly located at the 14th Floor of the United Centre with the Consulate.

POLO opened at its new location at the 29th Floor, United Centre, in Admiralty on 13 September 2020. END
