PH Embassy in Tripoli Cooperates with UN World Food Program to Extend Assistance to Filipinos in Libya

Cato had a virtual meeting with United Nations World Food Program (WFP) Country Director Samer AbdelJaber on 17 September 2020 where he expressed gratitude for the food assistance extended to members of the Filipino community in Tripoli and surrounding areas who were affected by the recent conflict and the outbreak of the coronavirus disease. Close to 400 food boxes from the WFP were distributed by the Embassy to displaced Filipino workers from May to June in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
