PH Consulate General in Manado Conducts Medical Mission for Filipinos in Distress in Bitung City, Indonesia
BITUNG CITY 08 October 2020 – Filipino fishermen in distress in Bitung City, Indonesia received medical care from Dr. Silvana Lumeno of Manado City during a medical mission organized by the Philippine Consulate General in Manado on 03 October 2020.
The medical mission was held in the holding areas of the Indonesian fishery law enforcement Pengawasan Sumber Daya Kelautan dan Perikanan (PSDKP) and Immigration Office–Bitung where some 21 Filipinos are staying.
Though none of the Filipinos were in serious health risk, the doctor found that some of them suffered from upper respiratory tract infection, hypertension, nerve problem and eye injury. Prescriptions and medicines were given to them during the consultation. END
