Indonesian Consul General Hosts Farewell Luncheon for PH Consul General to Chicago at Union League

CHICAGO 26 October 2020 – Indonesian Consul General Meri Binsar Simorangkir hosted a small but intimate farewell luncheon for Philippine Consul General to Chicago Gina A. Jamoralin on 21 October 2020 at the Union League Club of Chicago. The Dean of Chicago Consular Corps (CCC), Dominican Republic Consul General Gisselle Castillo-Veremis, Thailand Consul General Pisanu Sobhon, and other consular officials also joined the farewell luncheon.

Consul General Jamoralin thanked them for their support during her three-year term in Chicago and encouraged the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Consuls General to continue the initiatives and activities of the CCC of which she is an Executive Member. 

Consul General Simorangkir likewise expressed thanks to Consul General Jamoralin for the latter’s hospitality during the Indonesian diplomat’s arrival in Chicago early this year. Consul General Jamoralin received a token of appreciation from Consul General Castillo-Veremis and Consul General Sobhon. END
