PH Embassy in Dili Joins Timorese Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry’s (MTCI) Annual Sunset Fair

DILI 27 October 2020 – Philippine Ambassador to Dili Abdulmaid Kiram Muin led the Philippine participation in the two-day Annual Sunset Fair organized by the Timorese Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry’s (MTCI) at the B.J Habibie Park, Bidau Santa’ana Dili on 24 October 2020. The event was one of the MTCI programs in supporting economic recovery and promoting domestic tourism.

The Philippines, through the faculty and staff of St. Jude International School, presented cultural numbers showcasing Philippine traditional songs "Isang Mundo, Isang Awit” and native cultural dances “Cariñosa and Gaway-gaway”. The school is owned and operated in Dili by Filipina Educator Hiedie Veranga.

The event was also attended by Philippine Embassy officials and personnel, members of St. Jude International School Faculty, and some members of the Filipino Community. END
