yangon08 May 2014 -The Philippine Embassy in Yangon launched on May 06 the overseas voters registration in preparation for the national elections set for May 2016.

 

Mr. Joey S. Jancorda, an engineer for three years in Myanmar, and Mr. Manny Jake O. Ugot, an Embassy private staff, were among the first to register.

 

The Embassy conducted an e-mail blast, informing all Embassy-registered Filipinos of the start of registration, and inviting them to check their status as overseas voters.

 

Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Alex G. Chua designated Third Secretary and Vice Consul Alan Roi Q. Gabriola, Consular Assistant and Attaché Nenita G. Feliciano, and Political/Economic Assistant Daniel T. Te as the focal persons for the overseas voters registration in Myanmar. END
