09 May 2014- Chinese audiences were once again captivated by the wit and charm of Filipino romantic comedy films when the Philippine Embassy in Beijing screened anew, this time to a select group of China Radio International (CRI) personnel, their family and friends, the commercially successful and critically acclaimed movie, “My Amnesia Girl,” as part of the Embassy’s cultural series “Of Life, Love and Dreams: Discovering Philippine Cinema.”

Some 50 friends of the Embassy from the CRI brought along their family members and friends to the special screening of Star Cinema’s “My Amnesia Girl” – the highest grossing Filipino film of 2010—on April 25 at the Embassy’s Social Hall.

|Many of the guests, including young adults and even senior citizens, approached Philippine Ambassador to China Erlinda F. Basilio after the film-showing and expressed their enjoyment and delight at the film. They shared with the Ambassador that they identified with some of the experiences, journeys and trials of the film’s main characters Apollo and Irene and were touched by the heart-warming and happy ending to Apollo and Irene’s love story.
