Pitik Pinoy: Journeys in Xiamen and Beyond” Photo Exhibit Captivates Xiamen

XIAMEN 26 October 2020 – Filipino photographers based in Xiamen, in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen, held the opening ceremony of “Pitik Pinoy: Journeys in Xiamen and Beyond”, a photo exhibit at Marc’s Café, owned by Filipino-Chinese entrepreneur, Marc Vladimir Tan, in Yundang Road, Xiamen City, on 24 October 2020.

The exhibit, which will run until 14 November 2020, features a collection of photos around Xiamen and the rest of Fujian province by Messrs. Ianne Mher Hernandez; Norhel Legatam; Jose Rey Madrilejos; Lister Maraon; Marc Vladimir Tan; and Domingo Ponciano Zoleta, together with their contributor-friends, printed on canvas. Highlighted works were “Windmills” by Hernandez, “Mata sa Mata” by Madrilejos, “Bulaklak” by Maraon, “Essence of Buddha” by Legatam, “Triptych” by Tan and “Happy Life” by Zoleta.

In her remarks during the launching the ceremony, Acting Head of Post Laruan-Hernandez mentioned that the exhibit is a showcase of the many Filipino talents in Xiamen and noted the beauty of Xiamen which inspired the Filipino photographers to capture it.

Officers and members of the Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX), members of the Filipino-Chinese business sectors, Consulate General personnel, and other photo enthusiasts also attended the ceremony.
