PH Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Meets Red Cross Head to Discuss Efforts to Recover Four Missing Filipino Oil Workers

Cato met with Mr. Ashraf Abuamsha, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Sub-Delegation in Benghazi, to discuss efforts to recover the remains of four Filipino oil workers who were abducted and executed by Islamic extremists in eastern Libya in 2015. During the meeting, Chargé d’Affaires Cato expressed hope that the four missing Filipinos could be recovered as soon as possible so they could be repatriated and reunited with their families in the Philippines.
