PH Embassy in Copenhagen Conducts Webinar on OFW Welfare

COPENHAGEN 20 November 2020 — The Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen held its Zoom Webinar on OFW Welfare and Services, SSS, and PAG-IBIG, in partnership with attached agencies based in London on 14 November 2020.

A total of 78 participants from Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Southern Sweden registered for the event.

Participants were enlightened on their rights, membership, contributions, and benefits from these agencies, including those in times of COVID, and considering that they live and work in Denmark. Also included is a discussion on how OFWs in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland can avail of the DOLE-AKAP’s cash assistance from POLO-OWWA London upon application and submission of requirements. Lastly, the webinar also highlighted the negotiations that are underway for remittance centers for SSS and PAG-IBIG in Denmark. END
