09 May 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Turkey Maria Rowena Mendoza Sanchez, accompanied by Minister and Consul General Robert Ferrer and Third Secretary and Vice Consul Ericka Anna Abad, met with the officers and members of the Ankara Businessmen and Industrialists Association (ANKISAD) on April 22 to encourage the business leaders to take advantage of trade and investment opportunities in the Philippines.

 

“We welcome the opportunity of enhancing bilateral trade and commerce between our two countries,” said ANKISAD President Harun Akca.  Mr. Irfan Karabulut, President of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, also encouraged the members to invest in the Philippines. 

 

The ANKISAD is a trade association with a thousand members in Ankara. Its members from the sectors of construction, garments, food, energy, communications and fibre optics attended the meeting with the Embassy. The group represents the whole spectrum of businesses in Turkey - from furniture manufacturing and food processing to interior house decor, car parts manufacture and many others. END
