PH Consulate General in Los Angeles Joins Filipino-American History Month Celebrations

LOS ANGELES 02 November 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles, led by Consul General Adelio Angelito S. Cruz, participated and supported various virtual activities organized by various Filipino-American community organizations in Southern California to celebrate 2020 Filipino-American History Month (FAHM) throughout the month of October.
Consul General Cruz, in his remarks, lauded the Filipino-American community’s commitment to ensuring a meaningful and substantive celebration of FAHM, which was officially dedicated to highlight the Filipino people’s story in the United States.
Consul General Cruz added that retelling and commemorating our people’s story has taken on a deeper significance in 2020 considering the challenges and trials that have deeply impacted the community and how the pandemic has brought out the best in Filipino-Americans.
The men and women of the Consulate General are deeply honored to have been given the chance to work with these dynamic organizations, enhancing the friendship and solidarity within the Filipino-American community. END
