Filipino repatriates await flight in Manama
MANAMA 07 December 2020 — Over the past two weeks, the Philippine Embassy in Manama in the Kingdom of Bahrain assisted in the repatriation of a total of 45 overseas Filipinos who have decided to return to the Philippines in view of the adverse impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on their family’s livelihoods. Among those repatriated include 18 minors, as part of the Embassy’s Oplan Kabataan Program.
The Embassy’s Assistance-to-Nationals Team, led by Consul Bryan Jess Baguio, facilitated the processing of the exit clearances of the overseas Filipinos from Bahrain’s Immigration authorities, while their airline tickets were sourced from the DFA’s Assistance to Nationals Fund. END
