BERN 16 December 2020 – In celebration of the Christmas spirit, the Philippine Embassy in Berne, together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), collaborated with the Swiss Embassy in the Philippines to celebrate the holiday season through “A Gastronomic Christmas”, a Swiss-Philippines gastronomic exchange on 11 December 2020.

“A Gastronomic Christmas” premiered on the Embassy’s Facebook page, as well as social media accounts of the DTI and the Swiss Embassy in Philippines.

Filipinos love Christmas and the Philippines probably has the longest Christmas season in the world, starts in September and lasts throughout the year. This year has been a challenging one for the Philippines as aside from the pandemic, it was also visited by natural disasters, including a volcanic eruption and typhoons. But, as in previous years, neither distance nor challenges, can stop Christmas in the Philippines. As Filipinos say, “Tuloy pa rin and Pasko!”
