13 May 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai celebrated Labor Day last May 1 with a simple flag raising ceremony attended by the Consulate General Officers and staff led by Consul General Frank R. Cimafranca.

After the ceremony, Labor Attache Atty. Delmer Cruz, read the message of the Secretary of Labor and Employment, Rosalinda Dimapiliz-Baldos, with the theme: “Sa Sipag, Tiyaga at Talino Buong Mundo  Saludo sa Manggagawang Pilipino”. Sec. Dimapiliz-Baldos honoured the Filipino workers all over the world for their efficiency and hard work and for their contributions to the development of the country.

Following the message from the Secretary of Labor and Employment, Consul General Frank R. Cimafranca delivered the message from His Excellency Benigno S. Aquino III which extols the Filipino workers as contributors to the fight against corruption and promoters of a better Philippines. The President encouraged all workers to continue to work hard with utmost efficiency, intelligence and professionalism.

The celebration ended with a simple breakfast prepared by the Labor Office. END
