13 May 2014 - Overseas voters registration began at the Philippine Embassy in Beijing on May 6. Filipinos within the jurisdiction of the Embassy were reminded of the registration period through a notice posted in the Embassy’s website and reminders sent to group e-mails of Filipino community members.

Filipinos who came to the Embassy to avail of consular services are encouraged to register. Those who contact the Embassy by phone calls and text messaging are also encouraged to register.

The Embassy hopes that more Filipinos within its jurisdiction will be encouraged to register to enable them to exercise their right to vote in the 2016 presidential election. END
