PH Embassy in Tripoli Provides Assistance to Filipino COVID Patients in Libya
Assistance for Filipino COVID Patients in Libya. The Philippine Embassy in Tripoli has started to extend assistance to Filipino nurses and other hospital workers in Libya who have been diagnosed with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Chargê d’Affaires and Head of Mission Elmer G. Cato said the Embassy has been delivering food packs from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and vitamins and other supplements, additional food, and water from funds provided by former Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano to COVID-19 positive members of the Filipino Community. The Embassy is also reimbursing the cost of COVID-19 related tests and transportation from the same funds.
