14 May 2014- Philippine Ambassador to Timor-Leste Maria Aileen H. Bugarin called on Mr. Florencio da Conceição Sanches, Executive Officer of the Services for Registration and Verification of Entrepreneurs (SERVE), last April 22.

The meeting was arranged in line with the economic diplomacy goals of the Philippine Embassy in Dili.

During the meeting, Mr. Sanches briefed Ambassador Bugarin on the services extended by SERVE. He also provided information on the private sector environment of Timor-Leste, as well as the current regulations that are applicable to Filipino businessmen who wish to invest in the country.

The meeting ended on a positive note with the two parties agreeing to collaborate on areas of mutual interest.

Created under Timor-Leste Decree Law No. 35/2012, SERVE is mandated to integrate in a One-Stop Shop all services related to business licensing and registration. END
