Cambodian Senate President Lauds Filipino Community’s Contribution in Cambodia’s Education Sector

PHNOM PENH 20 February 2021 – Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Maria Amelita C. Aquino paid a courtesy call on Senate President Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum on 19 February 2021 where the latter recognized the important contribution of the Filipino community in Cambodia, especially in the education sector.
Cambodian Senate President Say Chhum recalled that Filipino English teachers in Cambodia conducted English language classes for the staff of the Secretariat-General of the Cambodian Senate in 2015, 2016, and 2019, facilitated by the Philippine Embassy. He also expressed appreciation for the scholarships provided by the Philippine government for Cambodian students. END
