15 May 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Rome, represented by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Kristine Margret Malang, attended the coronation night of Miss Mundialido Philippines 2014 last May 11.
Ms. Camille Joanne Manalo was chosen as Ms. Mundialido Philippines to compete in the Miss Mundialido 2014, an international beauty pageant among the nations represented in the 2014 Mundialido football tournament.
This pageant is a related event to the 2014 Mundialido, otherwise known as "Coppa del Presidente della Repubblica Italiana" (The Cup of the President of the Italian Republic) which shall be held from May 28 to June 29, 2014.
The Philippines, represented by Team Deus Fratres Onlus, is among the 25 teams represented in the 16th edition of the Mundialido, a prestigious football tournament for all foreigner teams in Italy under patronage of the President of the Republic of Italy.
Special guests during the coronation night of Ms. Mundialiado Philippines 2014 were the all-Filipino members of Team Deus Fratres Onlus.
Together with the Philippines, the other nations represented in the 2014 Mundialido are Afghanistan, Albania, Bangladesh, Cape Verde, Colombia, Congo, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Japan, Ireland, Italy, Moldova, Morocco, Nigeria, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Spain and Ukraine, plus two ethnic teams called Senza Frontiere and Rappresentante ROM.
The Miss Mundialido 2014 pageant will be held on May 16 at the Teatro Ghione, Via delle Fornace, at 7 p.m. Admission is free of charge. END
