GENEVA 24 June 2021 – The Philippine Mission and Consulate General participated in a gathering of retired and senior Filipino citizens on the occasion of the first-year anniversary of the Filipino Seniors Association in Geneva (FSAG) on 21 June 2021.

Permanent Representative Evan P. Garcia, Consul General Felipe F. Carino III, and Mr. Marcelo Pais of Adage Association-Geneva attended the event presided by Ms. Lorna Schwindt, where a brief exchange focused on welfare and general services offered to retired Filipinos, in cooperation with the Adage Association, were discussed with community members.

The Mission, Consulate General, and FSAG were partners in promoting citizen welfare and rights, voter’s registration and Philippine citizenship reacquisition, and financial literacy, among retired Filipinos in Geneva.

As health restrictions are gradually eased in Geneva, Mission and Consulate General seeks to reassure Filipino community members, including senior citizens affected by the pandemic, of government support and ensure their comfort and well-being. END
