20 May 2014 – The Department of Foreign Affairs Regional Consular Office in Legazpi (DFA Legazpi), the Philippine Army’s 901st Brigade, the Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 5 and the Police Regional Office V conducted a joint community outreach at Banquerohan Resettlement Elementary School (BRES) in observance of Brigada Eskwela 2014. The Joint Civil Military Operations Task Force US and Australia also participated in activity.  The community outreach services included a feeding program, haircuts, circumcision, shoes and umbrella repairs, themed movies, basic medical check-ups, distribution of vitamins, and basic nutrition and hygiene class. US and Australian uniformed personnel turned over school supplies to BRES and also engaged the school children in sports.

BRES is the beneficiary of DFA Legazpi’s community outreach activities under the DFA Volunteer Program. END
