Philippines and Honduras Commemorate 75 Years of Diplomatic Relations

MEXICO, 16 JULY 2021 – Ambassador Demetrio R. Tuason and Honduran Ambassador to Mexico Ambassador Gerardo Alberto Simón Yerres conducted a symbolic “elbow-bump” during a lunch hosted by Ambassador Tuason on 5 July 2021.in celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Honduras.

The Philippines oversees Honduras from the Philippine Embassy in Mexico, while the Honduran Embassy in Tokyo has concurrent jurisdiction over the Philippines. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, climate change cooperation and migration. END.
