PH Ambassador to Vietnam Meets Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam

HANOI 19 July 2021 — Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam Meynardo LB. Montealegre met with the Chairperson of the National Assembly of Vietnam Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue at the National Assembly Building in Ba Dinh, Hanoi on 14 July 2021.

Ambassador Montealegre and Chairman Hue exchanged views on the 45 years of Philippines-Vietnam relations; and the commemoration of the 45th Anniversary of the Philippines-Vietnam relations this year. They also discussed the many achievements of the two countries' Strategic Partnership since 2015 and the possible areas of cooperation under the current Plan of Action which covers the years 2019-2024.

Both sides noted that there is still a lot of potential for growth in the relations between the Philippines and Vietnam, particularly between the legislative branches of the two countries, including high-level visits between parliamentarians from both countries once conditions allow. END
