BRASILIA, 09 AUGUST 2021– The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia organized an Oath Taking Ceremony and briefing of the new Honorary Consul a.h. to Curitiba, Paraná, Mr. Gustavo Kiyoshi Ishitani on 05 August 2021 at the Chancery. Brasilia PE Charge d’ affaires, ad interim Ms. Leilani S. Feliciano led the oath taking ceremony and administered the oath to the new Philippine Honorary Consul Gustavo Ishitani.
Mr. Gustavo Kiyoshi Ishitani will be taking over the duties as PH Honorary Consul a.h. to Curitiba, Paraná from former Philippine Honorary Consul General a.h. Keiko Ishitani who has dutifully served the Philippine Government and Filipino people for several years.
Honorary Consul Ishitani expressed eagerness towards working with the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia and will focus on helping the Embassy in enhancing the bilateral relations between the Philippines and Brazil as well as assisting distressed Filipinos in his jurisdiction.
CDA Leilani S. Feliciano conveyed her gratitude and congratulations to the former PH Honorary Consul General Keiko Ishitani for her exemplary service for several years to the Philippine Government and the Filipinos in Curitiba. She welcomed and congratulated the newly-appointed PH Honorary Consul Gustavo Ishitani and stated that she and the Embassy team look forward to working with him on enhancing and promoting bilateral economic and cultural cooperation and ATN and consular concerns during the time of pandemic and beyond.
