ATHENS 21 September 2021 – Philippine Ambassador to Greece Giovanni E. Palec joined other Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Ambassadors of the ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT) on a call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Nikolaos (Nikos) Dendias to discuss various issues on cooperation, trade, security, maritime law, and other areas of mutual concern to Greece and the ASEAN member countries on 17 September 2021. 

The meeting was propitious as Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. and Foreign Minister Dendias are also scheduled to meet at the sidelines of the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA76) in New York. 

The ACAT is composed of the four resident embassies in Greece, namely: Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam.  The Philippine Ambassador is the incoming chairperson after the handover from the Ambassador of Indonesia on 23 September 2021. END
