75th Anniversary of PH–Syria Diplomatic Relations Fêted with Brunch Reception and Art Exhibit

DAMASCUS 23 September 2021 – The Philippine Embassy in Syria commemorated the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Formal Diplomatic Relations Between Philippines and Syria on 04 September 2021 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus, Syria.
A brunch reception was hosted by the Philippine Embassy, headed by the Chargé d'affaires (CDA), Ms. Vida Soraya Verzosa to celebrate the milestone event. It featured Asian food, as well as an art exhibition of CDA Verzosa’s mixed media paintings of Philippine endemic flowers, cultural landmarks, and art therapy paintings of the Filipino Workers Resource Center (FWRC) wards.
Around 120 guests from the Syrian government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Communication, and Ministry of Justice, among others), members of the diplomatic missions and international organizations, members of Syrian Parliament, private sector guests, officials from Aleppo Governorate, and media partners attended the event they described as, “one of the best diplomatic receptions of 2021.” END
