PH Ambassador Discusses Trade and Investment Opportunities with Cairo Chamber of Commerce

CAIRO, 27 October 2021 — Philippine Ambassador to Egypt Ezzedin H. Tago met with Cairo Chamber of Commerce Vice President Mr. Ahmed El-Wasimi, Secretary General & Chief Executive Mr. Khaled M. Mostafa, and Senior Public Relations Specialist Mr. Mohamed Samir Fahmi. Ambassador Tago was received by Mr. El-Wasimi on behalf of Engr. Ibrahim El-Araby, President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce on 24 October 2021.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed trade and investment opportunities between the Philippines and Egypt, particularly in pharmaceutical products, agricultural and food produce, as well as human resources. Ambassador Tago and VP El-Wasimi agreed that there are discoveries to be made in terms of two-way trade and investments.

The Philippine Embassy in Cairo and the Cairo Chamber of Commerce agreed to enhance economic bilateral relations and share information on the countries’ trade regulations and investment opportunities. END
