Filipino American History Month Feted in LA, San Francisco
In celebration of Filipino-American History month, Los Angeles City Hall and L.A. Union Station were illuminated with the colors of the Philippine flag from 24 to 31 October 2021. It is the first time in history that Union Station, a major city landmark, is bearing the Philippines' colors. On the other hand, City Hall was lit up with colors of the Philippine flag in 2019. Filipino-American-appointed Commissioners working for the City of Los Angeles and the L.A. County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) were instrumental in making the historic project possible (Photo from LA PCG)
