28 May 2014 – The overseas voters registration in Jordan commenced on May 06 at the Philippine Embassy in Amman.

The Embassy was able to process 27 new registrants on this day, the first of whom is household worker Myrna G. Juan.

The Embassy will organize different activities in order to meet its target of 3000 new registered voters during this registration period. A registration booth at the Terra Sancta basketball court will be put up every Friday during the summer sports fest of the Filipino community in Amman.  The Embassy will also be open to the public everyday, including Friday and Saturday, to accommodate all qualified Filipinos who would like to register.  The Embassy will also be exerting all efforts to encourage Filipinos in Jordan to register through public campaigns during Filipino community events and through social media.  END
