MANADO, 24 November 2021 — The Philippine Consulate General in Manado team, led by Vice Consul Manuel Ayap, visited the Talaud Islands Regency in North Sulawesi, Indonesia on 15 November to meet with local officials and businessmen.

Together with the leadership of the Talaud Islands Regency, the Consulate General team met with Talaud-based businessmen who are interested in importing products from the Philippines. They showed particular interest in boat building materials from the Philippines.

The culture on the island has strong affinity to the Philippines as numerous families in the Regency trace lineage to families in Mindanao. END
