Japan firefighters group turns over fire truck donation to Island Garden City of Samal LGU

TOKYO 09 December 2021 – The Japan Firefighters Association (JFFA), represented by Messrs. Hiroshi Fukuchi and Hirofumi Kouge visited the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo to officially turn over two fire trucks which have been donated to the local government of the Island Garden City of Samal on 07 December 2021.

Philippine Ambassador to Japan Jose C. Laurel V thanked the JFFA for its continuing support and assistance to the Philippine government through the provision of fire trucks to some cities and municipalities in the Philippines.

The donation was accepted by the Island Garden City of Samal through its local chief executive, Mayor Al David T. Uy. Since 2012, JFFA has donated 25 fire trucks to the Philippines. END
