DOT partners with PH Embassy in whetting Russians’ appetite for PH diving spots, beauty spas, beaches

MOSCOW, 16 December 2021 – In anticipation of Philippine tourism’s innovations and successful adaptations to the current pandemic and despite Omicron, members of Country Team Moscow are working hard for Philippine tourism when the Philippines successfully manages this latest wave.
The Embassy attended the in-person, B2B live workshop event organized by Department of Tourism (DOT) - Frankfurt led by non-resident Tourism Attaché Meggie Valdes and DOT’s official Russian partner, Access Russia, represented by Deputy Director Arman Grigoryants and Sales and Marketing Manager Yevgeniya Russiyanova, at Moscow's excellent seafood restaurant, Lure Me last 02 December 2021.
A cocktail masterclass featuring the acclaimed Don Papa Rum was the highlight of the cocktail show, with baristas serving the well-known Philippine liquor as a great alternative to celebrating Advent, Russian style. Accompanying CDA, a.i. Robert O. Ferrer, Jr. was Third Secretary and Vice Consul Grace Perpetua and Embassy interpreter Ms. Olga Lazutkina.
An online B2B workshop, also organized with Access Russia by Tourism Attache Valdes, and with the support of the Embassy Economic Section, was earlier held on 29 November 2021. Two other similar events were held for St. Petersburg and Vladivostok-Russian tour operators on 01 and 03 December 2021, respectively.
A total of 94 meetings were held for the virtual event, and 140 attendees for the live events in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Vladivostok. The aim was to partner them with Philippine tourism stakeholders and counterparts, in preparation for the eventual re-opening of Philippine tourist spots to Russians. END
