27 May 2014- On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the French section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Mr. Pascal Breton, Head of Communication for the Exploration and Petroleum Division of Total, was awarded the “Special Prize for Associative Commitment” for his work with the non-governmental organization (NGO) Anak last May 20.

Anak provides funds to Tulay ng Kabataan (A Bridge for Children or TNK) Foundation, which works with street children in the Philippines.  Headed by French priest Matthieu Dauchez, TNK works with over 1,200 children living in the streets and slums.

Minister Counsellor Deena Joy Amatong was present to give the award to Mr. Breton. In her remarks, she thanked the French Government, companies and NGOs for their assistance to the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). END
