DOHA, 09 February 2022 — The Philippine Embassy in Doha mounted another chartered flight on 07 February 2022 to repatriate 201 overseas Filipinos. Two families were among those who were repatriated. Out of the total passengers, 185 are women, three are children and two are infants.
Embassy and Philippine Overseas Labor Office representatives were at the airport to assist overseas Filipino repatriates with any concerns, including immigration‐related issues.
The 07 February chartered repatriation flight is the 15th of its kind to be mounted by the Embassy since the start of the COVID‐19 pandemic. This would not have been possible without the cooperation and support of the Philippine and Qatari governments, and the Philippine Airlines.
The Embassy and its partner agencies continue to provide assistance to distressed Overseas Filipinos either through regular or special repatriation programs, as the case may be. END
