PH Consulate General in Manado Repatriates Filipino Survivors of Sunken Boat

MANADO 15 March 2022 — The Philippine Consulate General in Manado facilitated the repatriation of seven Filipinos who survived the sinking of their boat off Tahuna Island, North Sulawesi in October 2021. The repatriates safely arrived in Manila on 12 March 2022.
The Consulate personnel visited them regularly in their billeting quarters in immigration facilities and delivered food and necessities, while they await clearance from Indonesian immigration authorities for the repatriation.

Philippine authorities will assist the Filipinos to their final destination, General Santos City. END
