PH Contributes US$ 10,000 to the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation

JAKARTA 22 March 2022 — The Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN and the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (AIPR) Secretariat held a symbolic ceremony to acknowledge the Philippines’ contribution of US$ 10,000 to ASEAN-IPR on 17 March 2022 Jakarta, Indonesia.  

Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN and the Philippines’ Representative to the AIPR Governing Council Noel Servigon and Executive Director of ASEAN-IPR I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja participated in the event.

Executive Director of ASEAN-IPR I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja thanked the Philippines for its contribution to ASEAN-IPR, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of ASEAN-IPR this year.

The Philippines’ contribution to ASEAN-IPR will support ASEAN-IPR’s work in advancing peacebuilding, conflict management and conflict resolution in the region through the conduct of research activities, and capacity building and training, and promoting the importance of peace and reconciliation efforts in ASEAN with the public and other stakeholders, including generating awareness on the important role of women and the youth in these efforts.
