02 June 2014 - Ambassador Maria Rowena Mendoza  conducted a roadshow in the Turkish cities of Tekirdağ and Çorlu on April 26.

During the roadshow, Ambassador Sanchez called on Corlu Mayor  Kadir Albayrak to discuss a sister city agreement between Çorlu and a key city in the Philippines to further strengthen the engagement between the Philippines and Çorlu. She also visited factories to explore possible cooperation between Philippine companies and TAÇ Holdings- the leading home textile company in TUrkey and Cem Matbaalicik - a printing company that has been in operation for 21 years.

As a fitting end to the roadshow in Tekirdağ and Çorlu, a business conference participated in by 70 companies was held. During her presentation, Ambassador highlighted the positive economic developments in the Philippines and the advantages of doing business and investing in the Philippines' priority areas which include agriculture, construction, tourism, energy, and Public-Private Partnership projects, among others.
