Halalan 2022 Voting Starts in PH Consulate General in Jeddah
JEDDAH 12 April 2022 – The Overseas Absentee Voting (OVS) began on 10 April 2022 in an orderly fashion at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah.
Philippine Consul General to Jeddah Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian along with the members of the Overseas Absentee Voting team approved by the Philippine Commission on Elections (COMELEC) opened the polling stations for registered Filipino voters inside the Consulate grounds at 8:00 in the morning to cast their ballots.
The Consulate General is encouraging Filipinos in Jeddah and the rest of the western region of Saudi Arabia who are registered voters to practice their right to suffrage. Currently, there are 74,603 registered Filipino voters in the Consulate General.
The Overseas Absentee Voting will continue everyday from 10 April 2022 to 09 May 2022. END
