PH Embassy in Athens Ends First Week of 2022 National Elections Voting Period

ATHENS, 20 April 2022 – Members of the Special Board of Inspectors (SBEI) for the National Elections feed the postal ballots into the Vote Counting Machine or VCM in the presence of accredited poll watchers on 11 and 14 April 2022.
The postal ballots were personally delivered by the registered overseas voters themselves at the Philippine Embassy in Athens after accomplishing them. Pursuant to the Commission on Election’s (COMELEC) instructions, ballots received by the Embassy are to be fed into the VCM at 9:00 a.m. every Monday and Thursday during the voting period from April 10 to 09 May 2022 which accredited poll watchers may observe. Registered voters in the rest of Greece, Cyprus, and North Macedonia can expect their ballots to arrive at their addresses by mail within the coming days. END
