Vancouver PCG Hosts Information Session on Philippine National Elections for Poll Watchers and Election Observers

VANCOUVER, 21 April 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver hosted an Information Session on the Philippine National Elections for accredited poll watchers and election observers on 19 April 2022.
Consul General Maria Andrelita Austria provided an overview of the conduct of overseas voting at the Consulate. She also discussed various topics such as the Certified List of Overseas Voters (CLOV) under Post’s jurisdiction, procedures in voting and counting, duties and privileges of watchers and observers, rules of conduct, FAQs, reminders from COMELEC, and important dates and contact details to remember.
The Consulate also requested participants to assist in the dissemination of relevant updates and announcements on overseas voting.
Cosul General Austria also reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to be transparent and fair in the conduct of its electoral duties and to ensure that everyone qualified and willing to vote is able to exercise this privilege.
Overseas voting for the 2022 Philippine National Elections officially started on 10 April 2022 and will run until 09 May 2022 (4:00 AM, Vancouver time).
