PH Consulate General in Milan Holds Fourth Full Mobile Consular Services in Torino, Makes Service More Accessible to Filipinos

MILAN 26 April 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in Milan conducted mobile consular services (MCS) in Torino on 16 and 17 April 2022. It was the fourth full MCS of the Consulate since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Philippine Consuate General to Milan Consul Norman Padalhin and Vice Consul Flaureen Dacanay led and supervised the MCS team which was joined by representatives of the partner agencies Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) Milan, Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA) Office Milan, Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG.
The MCS was warmly received by Filipinos in Piemonte, who were spared the two-hour land travel to Milan, to avail of consular services. At least 1,544 clients were served, including those availing of services for passports, civil registry, notarials, citizenship retention, OWWA membership, Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) applications, and SSS and Pag-IBIG transactions.
The MCS was organized by the Consulate General with the able support of the various Filipino Community leaders in Piemonte (FedFAP and the Filipino Chaplaincy in Turin). END
