PH Embassy in Moscow Conducts Consular Outreach, Mobile Overseas Voting Mission in Yerevan, Armenia

MOSCOW 4 May 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Moscow sent an outreach mission team to Yerevan, Armenia, one of the oldest cities in the world, on Labor Day, 01 May 2022, facilitating around 50 Overseas Filipinos.

Touted as the first country to adopt Christianity and home to the world’s oldest winery, Armenia is an attractive destination not only to tourists but also to Filipinos dreaming of moving on to this part of Eastern Europe where ease of doing business and a robust tourism industry has encouraged not only OFWs but whole families to relocate over the past decade. 

During the consular outreach and overseas voting mission, a total of 38 overseas voters received and submitted their ballots. 

On the other hand, 15 OFs had their passports renewed, three Report of Births were processed, and two Affidavits of Lost Passport, one Special Power of Attorney, and one Acknowledgment certificate was released. Also, one Emergency Passport Extension was also rendered. Several overseas Filipinos also had consultation with Post’s Head of Assistance to Nationals for migration, medical assistance and other issues. END
