PH Embassy in Rome Holds Consular Outreach, Mobile Voting in Florence

ROME, 02 May 2022 – A total of 911 services were rendered to more than 500 Filipinos in Tuscany by the Philippine Embassy in Rome, in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General in Florence, during its consular outreach mission and mobile voting conducted from 30 April to 01 May 2022, marking the second consular outreach mission conducted by the Embassy and its partner agencies for the year 2022 after the lifting of the state of emergency in Italy.
Honorary Consul General in Florence Consul General Donna Celeste Feliciano-Gatmaytan headed the consular team that processed the passport applications of 243 overseas Filipinos who came from the regions of Tuscany, Umbria and Marche. Other services rendered included civil registry (Report of Birth and Report of Marriage), notarization, certification, and oath-taking of 26 overseas Filipinos who retained/re-acquired their Filipino citizenship under Republic Act No. 9225. POLO and OWWA rendered 133 services, 68 of which were facilitation of OWWA membership applications while SSS rendered a total of 136 services.
Members of Post’s Special Ballot Custody and Reception Group (SBRCG) received sealed envelopes containing ballots from overseas voters in Florence, Arezzo, Grosseto, Livorno, Lucca, Massa, Carrara, Pisa, Pistoia, Prato, and Siena during the mobile voting.
Consul General Feliciano-Gatmyatan also met with Consul General Fabio Fanfani, a.h. to discuss areas of collaboration to be of service to more overseas Filipinos within the Consulate’s jurisdiction. END
