Philippine Consulate General In Chicago Turns Over Election Results to Special Board of Canvassers in Washington DC

CHICAGO, 11 May 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago concluded the conduct of the overseas voting for the 2022 National and Local Elections in the US Midwest by turning over the results of the elections in the US Midwestern Region to the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) in Washington DC.

Consul Ryan Francis Gener, Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) Chairperson, personally delivered the election returns and handed them over to SBOC Chair and Deputy Chief of Mission Jaime Ramon T. Ascalon, Jr.

Consul General J. Susana V. Paez thanked the voters in the Midwest for their participation in the electoral process. Consul General Paez also expressed her appreciation to the personnel of the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, the Commission on Elections, the Department of Foreign Affairs Office for Overseas Voting, poll watchers, observers and accredited media entities – for making the elections in the Midwest a success.
