PH Consul General and Alberta Minister of Culture Explore Avenues of Cooperation

CALGARY 23 May 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in Calgary and the Ministry of Culture and the Status of Women of Alberta had a fruitful discussion on ways to improve cultural cooperation and exchange between the Philippines and the province of Alberta.

During a virtual meeting on 05 May 2022 between Consul General Zaldy Patron and Alberta Minister for Culture Ron Orr, both sides acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the estimated 175,000-strong Filipino community in Alberta to the province’s cultural diversity and economic prosperity.

Consul General Patron and Minister Orr agreed to pursue projects and activities that will enhance people-to-people exchange and cultivate cultural understanding and appreciation between the Philippines and Alberta. END
