04 June 2014 - The Philippine Mission to the United Nations/Philippine Consulate General in Geneva opened for the first time on a Saturday to render consular services and conduct overseas voters registration.
The “Open House” which was held on May 17 is a new initiative of the Consulate General in Geneva in line with its commitment to bring its services closer to Filipinos in the Cantons of Geneva and Vaud. The Saturday consular services enabled Filipinos who cannot leave their jobs during weekdays to renew passports, file reports of birth and marriage, apply for dual citizenship and register to vote for the 2016 presidential elections.
It is also part of the Consulate General’s effort to raise awareness regarding overseas voters registration. END
