PH Ambassador to UAE Welcomes PLDT’s Plan to Roll Out Digital Solutions for OFW Concerns

ABU DHABI 15 June 2022 —  Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hjayceelyn M. Quintana received the visiting PLDT delegation during their courtesy call on 09 June 2022 in Dubai. The Ambassador commended the Filipino telecommunications company, PLDT Global, for planning to launch digital solutions to concerns of OFWs.

PLDT representatives gave the Ambassador an overview of the new services the company will be rolling out in the UAE together with its partner company Sandbox Middle East led by its CEO Lito German. The Ambassador thanked PLDT for their support to the Filipino community in UAE and also took the opportunity to brief the PLDT on relevant laws and regulations on doing business and public engagement in the UAE.

Prior to the call, the Ambassador also attended the signing of the Philippines-UAE Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement held at the UAE Ministry of Finance in Dubai. END
