PH Consul General Encourages Chongqing Investments in the Philippines’ Electric Vehicle Industry

CHONGQING 27 June 2022 – Philippine Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo visited the assembly plant of the Chongqing Golden Queen New Energy Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Yongchuan District, Chongqing upon the invitation of Mr. Zhang Wenli, the company’s president on 21 June 2022. The plant produces a hybrid compact car that could be customized according to market preferences. 

Following the enactment of RA 11697 or the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act, Consul General Mayo encouraged the company to consider the Philippines as an investment destination and potential site for an overseas assembly plant. END
